Biography

Guo Shiwei, MD, is an attending physician at the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. In 2014, he graduated from Peking University with a major in Clinical Medicine and obtained a doctoral degree in Surgery. In the same year, he joined the Plastic Surgery Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and has since been engaged in clinical work, research, and teaching at the hospital. His main research directions are oculoplastic surgery, body contouring, and minimally invasive plastic and aesthetic surgery. He has his own understanding of and contributions to complex oculoplastic surgery, double eyelid revision, lower blepharoplasty, and orbital septum release. He has a highly specialized treatment strategy for the comprehensive treatment of upper eyelid hollowing, achieving optimal surgical outcomes through blepharoplasty, free fat grafting, and other methods. Body contouring is mainly performed through liposuction; he has studied methods that balance rapid recovery and large-volume liposuction, maximizing surgical results on the basis of safety. He has published several SCI papers and articles in core journals.

Oculoplastic surgery: including periorbital rejuvenation, oculoplastic surgery, etc.; skilled in double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, lower blepharoplasty, orbital septum release, comprehensive treatment of upper eyelid hollowing (blepharoplasty, fat release, minimally invasive fat grafting, etc.), brow excision, and other surgical treatments; skilled in minimally invasive double eyelid surgery, minimally invasive lower blepharoplasty, and minimally invasive lower blepharoplasty plus orbital septal fat release, etc. 2. Body contouring mainly by liposuction. This includes circumferential liposuction of the thighs and calves, circumferential liposuction of the waist and abdomen, upper arm liposuction, facial liposuction, and other liposuction contouring; it can also address accessory breast, prominent greater trochanter (pseudo-wide hips), and other problems. 3. Injectable aesthetics: botulinum toxin injection for wrinkle reduction and facial slimming; hyaluronic acid filler for rhinoplasty, chin augmentation, and facial rejuvenation; skin booster injections, etc. 4.
